El caminito del rey was an access walkway in the reservoir el chorro The original path was built between 1901 and 1905 by the Sociedad Hydroelectrica del Chorro . A pioneering project to take advantage of the 100m drop in the river Guadalhorce required the construction of a small dam, a canal, an arch-supported aqueduct across the gorge, and 1,400m of aquaduct- tunnels. Additionally a path way to provide access for workmen and materials between two hydroelectric sites, namely Salto del Chorro (Chorro waterfall) and Salto de Gaitenejo (Gaitenejo waterfall) was constructed. Work was challenging and sailors from Malaga were called in to hang from ropes fixed at the top of the gorge. Popular (unconfirmed) stories claim that convicts, including those condemned to death, undertook the riskiest parts.
Today the walk way along the gorge is no longer a risk, and we offer excursions all through the year to amaze yourself and enjoy the spectacular views that this unique place has to offer. You will be amazed by the beautiful wilderness and lakes of this region. Also the lakes have kayaks and varied water sports ,we can do small group tours and walking tours , call us and we can inform you of all available. Also check us for city tours as your holiday tour operators.

Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe and the mountain ranges of the Costa del Sol extend all along the coast from Granada Province to Cadìz Province so there is a lot to walk. Most people are happy just looking at the Mountains from the confort of their pool loungers but that is no substitute to being among them. The area of Mijas (Sierra de Mijas) has some of the most magnificent scenery of the coast and some of the best walks that you can find in Europe. The best of Mijas is that the trails are deserted and easy to access. The best time of the year for walking is from Mid September through to Mid June. Some seasonal delights are January when the skies are clear blue and the bare almond trees are in full blossom, and Spring when the mountains are green and are alive with wild poppies, lavender and other flowers. El Torcal park and the protected EL Torcal Natural Area is known for it's unusual limestone rock formations. Located about 45 km north of Málaga city in the direction of Antequera near the village of Villanueva de la Concepción, within El Torcal Park's 17 square km are some of the most beautiful and impressive limestone landscapes in Europe. The whole area was under sea until one hundred million years ago. Then the violent movements of the Earth's crust forced it upward into hills and mountains up to 1.300 m, the limestone still kept its layered horizontal formation. Because of this, over the millions of years the rain and wind have been able to chisel away at these layers to form incredible shapes. This is a spectacular day out out for lover's of nature the views are incredible and on a segway it makes it all so much more enjoyable, the tour is part segway and part walking, and the price for this day out is 85€ person, and you are picked up at your hotel, for more information contact us anytime..
